While the game may not have been the desired result, you still watched last night’s Patriots-Saints game. The Sports Business Daily reports that ESPN received a 13.1 overnight rating while Channel 5, WCVB-TV garnered a 21.9 rating for a total combined rating of 35.0. That’s very good. The final overall rating should be out tomorrow.
Nationally, Sports Business Daily reports that the overnight ratings for Monday Night Football resulted in a 14.4 which is the highest for ESPN since the series moved to cable in 2006.
While Boston’s ratings for MNF were high, compare that to New Orleans which had a combined rating of 66.7 and an 84 share meaning that 84% of all TV’s that were on had the game. Amazing numbers.
