COWBOYS-EAGLES DELIVERS SECOND BEST “SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL” OVERNIGHT RATING THIS YEAR

14.3 Rating Trails Only Giants-Cowboys, Which Was Best Overnight For Primetime NFL Game in 11 Years

SNF Powers NBC to Sunday Night Win and is Top Rated Program of the Night Again

NEW YORK – Nov. 9, 2009 – Last night's Cowboys-Eagles game on NBC Sports had the second best overnight rating for a "Sunday Night Football" game this season. The Cowboys 20-16 victory earned a 14.3 overnight rating and 23 share to power NBC to a Sunday Night victory as SNF again was the top rated program of Sunday night as it has been for seven of eight Sundays.

SECOND BEST SNF OVERNIGHT RATING THIS YEAR: Last night's game (8:30-11:45 p.m. ET) was the second highest overnight rating of the season for "Sunday Night Football" trailing only the Week 2 Giants 33-31 victory over the Cowboys in the much-hyped debut of the new Cowboys stadium. That game drew an overnight rating of a 16.5/27 and had the highest overnight rating for an NFL primetime regular-season game in 11 years.

The 14.3/23 overnight rating is up 20 percent over the Week 9 game last season (Patriots-Colts, 11.9/18) and up 24 percent over the Week 9 game in 2007 which also featured the Cowboys at the Eagles (11.5/18).

DOMINATED PRIMETIME: "Sunday Night Football" is No. 1 program of the night in the metered markets (excludes overruns of NFL day games) on a night that included ABC's Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters, CBS's 60 Minutes and Amazing Race and Fox's Cleveland Show and Family Guy.

·	Head-to-head from 9-10 p.m., the Cowboys-Eagles game out-rated Desperate Housewives in the metered markets by a margin of 80% (14.8 vs. 8.2 in that hour). "Sunday Night Football" has out-rated Desperate Housewives each week that the two have gone head-to-head this season.

·	NBC is No. 1 for the night in metered-market households, with the network's highest Sunday average (11.2/18) since the September 20 Giants-Cowboys game.
