Such a move would be a "pre-emptive strike" against the new CBS-owned sports-talk FM. Boston not so long ago supported three strong rock stations. I doubt now it can support even one, which is why I think WAAF is going to become a WEEI simulcast. And I even think little WFNX could move away from rock over the next year.
