I'm afraid once the Peacock realized that tape-delaying the Olympics garnered bigger ratings, they decided it was okay to do the same thing with all of their sports coverage, especially the odd workday matinee stuff. Surprised they didn't try doing the same thing with their US Open golf coverage when the rains pushed back the finish to Monday.

I'm with you, Ken. NBC has USA and Bravo at their disposal to do what you suggested. They could even put a crawl under the 17th hour of 'Today' and tell people the tennis is on another channel should they want to watch.

Now that we're well into the 21st century and most kids under the age of 10 think tape is only good for fixing things, should we come up with a new word/phrase for 'tape-delay'?
